Recap on Christmas

This year Christmas brought with it a great big suprise!!! My new Cannon Rebel!!! I have always wanted to get into photography but... my old camera wasn't cutting it - with the batteries staying alive long eneough to take 4 pictures (literally), but now perhaps my dreams can be realized!! Although I currently know nothing about shutter speed and apture, I've got all the gear to get me started on the journey - thanks to the most awesome family in the world!! They all chipped in and with my dad's super savy shopping skills got a killer deal on the set. Wish me luck!

While we were home for Christmas we:

spent time with both families

stuffed our faces full of chips and salsa

saw Wicked @ the Oriental Theater in Chicago

participated in the annual Christmas cookie decorating

drank more sparkling sider than should be legal

met Paul's girlfriend Annie (and she is wonderful - I could devote a whole post to her!)

saw lots of snow

hitched a ride in a limo

saw the Statue of Liberty (long story)

played games

ate pizza at Aurrelios and Ginos East

visited Navy Pier on a cold day

celebrated James 26th birthday

bought a new winter coat

ate cinnamon rolls with Dad and Stacie ;)

Here are a few shots from our trip.

I'm so glad that you got a camera and your dream can come true! I want to hear about the limo ride and your story about the Statue of Liberty!
We need to get together soon. Russell has Bronchitis; he's been home sick since Friday night and he still has a fever over 100! Please pray for him.

Hello - nice pictures! I particularly love the 12 ball one, and the one of you 5 "kids" very nice! (I thought I had already written all this - apparently it didn't go through?!)
